Career :
Andy came through the Academy system at Leeds after signing for the Rhinos in May 1996 from Stanley Rangers. He made five appearances for the Rhinos first team, scoring a try on his debut in the record 86-6 win over Huddersfield at Headingley in July 1999. He made a further three appearances that season and made just one appearance in 2000. However, that one appearance was the Challenge Cup Semi Final against Hull at Huddersfield. His assured, calm head was a major factor in the Rhinos success that day but he could not retain a place in the side with Lee Jackson at the club. |
Rugby
Career :
After leaving Leeds, Andy has played at Halifax, Wakefield and Sheffield Eagles. However, during the 2001 season he moved on loan to Castleford Tigers where he impressed with a number of performances at The Jungle. He was unlucky not to secure a contract at the Tigers and moved onto Dewsbury Rams. |
