Career :
Last year back rower Simon Worrall opted to switch codes to join Leeds from the Rhinos sister club Rugby Union side, Leeds Carnegie, where he had played at flanker and had been one of their rising stars. He made a big impact on the Rhinos Academy side following the move and was and was an almost ever present in the side and scored 3 tries. He ended the year as part of the Senior Academy Grand Final team who were just beaten by Hull. |

Career :
Simon is a former pupil of Woodhouse Grove and he joined the Leeds Carnegie Academy from Thornensians in Doncaster. He was captain of the Leeds Carnegie U19 side that won the National Colts Cup Final in 2004.
In Rugby Union he represented Yorkshire at U15, U16 and U18 as well as playing for England 16s and U18 schools.
After some impressive performances for the Leeds Carnegie Academy during the 2004-05 season, Simon was selected for the England 7’s training squad.

Personal
Details :
Simon’s childhood hero was Josh Kronfield and the person he most admires in the game is Neil Black. He enjoys listening to R n B and his favourite television programmes are Hustle, Top Gear and Spooks. Simon is also a Leeds Met graduate. |
