Leeds Career :
Winger Ryan Hall had a dream start to his Leeds career in 2007 by scoring a try against reigning Super League champions St Helens in the Rhinos 22-10 away win. He retained his place in the starting line up for the next 5 games and scored another 2 tries before an injury ended his involvement in the first team for the remainder of the season.
It showed the incredible progression he had made at the club, having only joined the Leeds Academy a year earlier from Oulton Raiders.
In his first season he made 7 starts and 1 appearance for the Junior Academy and put in some exciting performances that led to him breaking through to the Senior team, where he scored 3 tries in 11 appearances and earned a place in the Senior Academy side who defeated Hull in the Grand Final.
At the end of 2006 he earned a place in the Rhinos side that defeated Wakefield in Boxing Day and he marked his arrival with the final try of the game in the 22-14 win.
In 2007 alongside playing in the first team he made 14 appearances and scored 9 tries for the Senior Academy before ending the season with a place in their Grand Final game against Hull where they just lost out on honours. He ended the year with an excellent display in the Rhinos U19 side who lost out to their Australian counterparts at Penrith Panthers in the Carnegie Academy World Club Challenge.
Rugby Career :
Prior to joining the Rhinos Ryan played for Oulton Raiders.
Personal Details :
Ryan’s favourite film is Forrest Gump and he enjoys listening to rock and indie music. At school he enjoyed Maths and P.E. and he is a keen supporter of his hometown clubs Leeds Rhinos and Leeds United. The one thing he could not live without is rugby and the worst thing about the game is losing. If Ryan was Prime Minister he said the first thing he would do is quit!
